Work Experience:
Ms. Sharon Easley has over 29 years of experience in the areas of administrative and technical support and project management with more than 17 years focused on ITS in the areas of Commercial Vehicle Operations, Transit, Parking, Traveler Information, Intermodal Freight, and Electronic Payment Systems. Ms. Easley has a wealth of business process experience which includes multi-million dollar budget development, tracking and projection, cost containment, Federal Grant application preparation, producing RFPs and specifications, system testing, research and report writing, survey development and analysis, staff development and training, focus group facilitation, meeting/conference planning and management, senior executive support, information systems management and customer service. Her current major responsibilities include CVO program support for MassDOT, training production for New York State Thruway Authority (NYSTA) and Port Authority of New York/New Jersey (PANYNJ) to include delivery of training, training materials and user guides for multi-million dollar toll systems deployments, staff training for Florida DOT’s statewide ITS asset/configuration management database, production of Federal Grant reports for various clients, and research on several state and federal projects.
Ms. Easley has performed extensive research using the internet and phone/personal interviews to produce several documents for clients of E-Squared Engineering. Ms. Easley led E-Squared Engineering’s data collection efforts for the VDOT 511 feasibility report investigating data requirements, data sources, and data formats for the Washington DC region (Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia) 511 strategy. This included data collection/interviews with the Washington region’s 10 cities, 8 counties, 9 transit related properties, regional aviation authorities, various law enforcement consortiums, etc. In addition, Ms. Easley provided research data for, and co-wrote, “Introduction to Electronic Payment Systems (EPS) and Transportation,” produced for and published by ITS America. Ms. Easley also provided research and writing expertise on transportation technologies in rural areas for the production of “The State of the ARTS,” a document on Advanced Rural Transportation Systems for ITS America. Ms. Easley also provided research on freight related transportation technologies in rural areas while under contract to the University of Alaska Anchorage. Her research was used in the preparation of a workshop, sponsored by the University and Alaska DOT, for members of the intermodal freight community in Alaska.
Ms. Easley oversees contract work with various on-call clients, conducts transportation research, performs detailed literature search functions, and produces technical papers for clients. In addition, she is responsible for tracking contract budgets and schedules, internal company budgets and other financial matters. She also serves as the E-Squared Engineering lead for coordinating meeting arrangements, negotiating costs for meeting facilities, transportation and speaker logistics.
